Short-term substitutes as Animal Keepers/Recreation Leaders sought for Emaus
The Staffing Unit is responsible for managing short-term substitutes within the following activities in Uddevalla municipality:
- Recreation leaders with animal and/or farm experience
As a short-term substitute, you will be called in when the activities need substitutes.
Emaus Farm Uddevalla is one of several recreational facilities that contribute to public health through time spent in nature. The farm is a visitor farm and is therefore classified as a zoo according to animal husbandry regulations.
At the farm, there are horses, pigs, goats, hens, and cats. In the summer months, there are also cows and sheep.
As a staff member at Emaus Farm, you are expected to provide good service and a warm welcome to all our visitors. You contribute calmness and work well with others.
In addition to experience or education in animal care, both small animals and farm animals, we also appreciate a personal interest in public health, children, youth, animals, and nature.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a staff member at Emaus, you will work with the overall operations, from morning feeding and releasing animals to cleaning animal stalls and mucking out paddocks. You are also an important person in meeting our visitors, a broad audience of Uddevalla residents as well as tourists. You are part of a team that collectively takes responsibility for the daily care of the entire facility.
To thrive as a staff member, you should enjoy working outdoors regardless of the weather, provide service, and take responsibility so that you can best receive our visitors and care for our animals, and not be afraid.
As a staff member at Emaus, you need to be comfortable talking to people and not be afraid to meet people in different situations.
The work can be on both weekdays and weekends, between 8 AM and 5 PM every day, year-round.
The facility is located at Kapellevägen 67, Uddevalla.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Documented work experience from a similar or equivalent service profession.
We place great importance on personal qualities when filling positions.
Conditions
The recruitment will be based on the needs of the activities for short-term substitutes.
Selection and interviews will take place continuously.
We ask that you provide the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of two references. They should be individuals in supervisory positions. For those who cannot provide a managerial reference, we also accept references from internships or teachers.
